This room represents the office used by three generations of Arcadia businessmen: Henry, Charles, and Robert Starke. In 1880 in an office with some of these furnishings, the Henry Starke Land & Lumber Co. began operation, followed by the Arcadia and Betsey River Railway Co., and, in 1906, the Arcadia Furniture Company's furniture factory. |
