The Museum's Third Floor

The third floor of the museum is a small room that has four sets of windows that provide great views of Arcadia from the tallest generally accessible site in town. In between, in the corners and below the windows, are photos, paintings, posters, and maps.


The Southeast Corner
This corner includes a painting of the steamer Arcadia, a log cabin, and the octagon house. (Click here for a closer view.)


The Southwest Corner
This corner includes a variety of photos including The Jungle Inn, the Minnehaha wreckage, scenes along Lake Arcadia's north shore, the Arcadia Furniture Company's factory, the steamer Arcadia, and the results of a deer hunting trip. (Click here for a closer view.)


The Northwest Corner
This corner has a variety of photographs showing the docks along Lake Arcadia, the Grund sawmill, the narrow gauge railroad, and scenes from the early town. (Click here for a closer view.)


The Northeast Corner
This corner has a poster summarizing the history of inspiration point. It also has two early plat maps of Arcadia.  (Click here for a closer view.)


The South Wall
Along the floor of the south wall are a series of posters about the Arcadia Furniture Factory and the narrow gauge railroad. (Click here for a closer view.)
