Walking Tour
The walking tour is about 1.5 miles long. It is intended to acquaint you
with an earlier, more vibrant time in the village. The Postcard Photographer's Walk
Imagine you're a postcard photographer in the early
1900s. Starting from the corner of M-22 and Lake Street, walk west toward
Lake Michigan. What photos would you take? This tour uses a series of postcard photos
to show views along Lake Street in Arcadia, Michigan
from around 1900 through 1930. Museum Tour
Using a diagram of the first, second, and tower floors of the Arcadia Area Historical Museum,
you can see the types of exhibits
currently in
each area. However, the exhibits will change often, so the details in the
photos are probably out of date. |
